Vancouver Adult Halloween Activities

Halloween Attractions for Adults VHE

Halloween activities for adults and older youth in the greater Vancouver region include serious haunted houses and walking tours. For folks ages 19+, there are also boat cruises and other nightclub-style parties.

There are many Halloween events suitable for both adults and children. Some of the best, for example, are HowlOver Canada at Flyover at Canada Place, and Canyon Frights at Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver. The focus of this article, however, is on Halloween activities for adults, or at least youth ages 13+ (but in some cases only for folks ages 19+). In this article, you’ll find information about Lower Mainland haunted houses, Halloween games, guided walking tours, and boat parties departing from Coal Harbour and False Creek.

Lower Mainland Haunted Houses

There’s no shortage of scream-worthy haunts around Metro Vancouver. Standout options include Brinkworth Dungeon in Langley, Cougar Creek’s House of Horrors in Surrey, Reaper’s Maze of Terror in Chilliwack, and Dovercourt Crypt in North Vancouver’s Lynn Valley (a by-donation haunt that supports the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund).

In Vancouver, Fright Nights at Playland combines classic rides with multiple haunted houses, midway games, and live entertainment for a full-on Halloween night out. Keep reading for a quick look at each haunted attraction this October.

Brinkworth Dungeon

22260 48th Avenue, Murrayville, Langley.

Brinkworth Dungeon has earned a reputation as one of BC’s best haunted attractions, celebrating over 25 years of horror. The Langley home haunt has detailed movie-quality sets and creepy creatures created by artist Barry Brinkworth.

The 2025 season opens on Friday, October 24th, running six nights a week (closed Sundays) from 7:00 to 10:00 pm through “Hauntvember.” Weeknights offer Creepy Tours with no live actors, while Fridays and Saturdays feature monsters that come to life.

Admission costs $20 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under on weekdays, or $25 for adults on weekends. Children aged 5 and under enter free. VIP bookings are available for $30 (by e-transfer), and all non-perishable food donations support the Salvation Army’s Gateway of Hope.

12530 72 Avenue, Surrey.

Running from October 3rd to November 8th, 2025, Cougar Creek’s House of Horrors is one of Metro Vancouver’s largest and most elaborate Halloween events. The Surrey attraction features five terrifying haunted houses, each with its own theme—from cursed temples to deranged circuses.

Alongside the haunts, visitors can enjoy a whole Halloween festival with nightly stage shows, food vendors, photo ops, and a horror boutique. Fast Pass and Immediate Entry upgrades are available for shorter wait times.

With cinematic sets, live actors, and a mix of scares and spectacle, Cougar Creek has earned its reputation as one of BC’s best haunted attractions.

Hours are 7:00 to 10:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 7:00 to 9:00 pm on other days. Admission costs $30 on Thursdays and October 29th, and $35 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
