Canyon Frights at Capilano Suspension Bridge
Canyon Frights transforms Capilano Suspension Bridge Park into a festive Halloween destination featuring seasonal decorations and family-friendly activities.
Featuring glowing pumpkins, seasonal decorations and the park’s iconic attractions after dark in October, this annual event offers a fun way to celebrate Halloween without the intense scares of traditional haunted houses.
Perfect for families, couples and visitors of all ages, Canyon Frights combines the beauty of one of British Columbia’s most famous attractions with a magical autumn atmosphere.
When and Where
Canyon Frights takes place at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, located at 3735 Capilano Road in North Vancouver.
In 2026 the Halloween celebration runs daily from October 9th until November 1st. Depending on the day, hours are from 10:00 am until either 8:00 pm or 9:00 pm. Visitors get to experience both daytime scenery and the illuminated evening displays.
Admission to Canyon Frights
Canyon Frights is included with regular admission to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, so no separate event ticket is required. Guests usually reserve their visit by selecting a timed entry when purchasing tickets online.
British Columbia residents can also upgrade a regular admission ticket to an Annual Pass for no additional cost when visiting the park, making it an excellent value for anyone planning multiple visits throughout the year.
What to Expect
During Canyon Frights, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is decorated with hundreds of seasonal displays that add a playful Halloween atmosphere while preserving the park’s natural beauty.
Instead of frightening haunted houses or graphic scares, visitors will discover glowing jack-o’-lanterns, colourful lighting, themed decorations and interactive displays spread throughout the forest.
The event is designed to be enjoyable for children as well as adults, making it one of Metro Vancouver’s most family-friendly Halloween attractions.
Guests are also welcome to wear costumes, provided they are suitable for a public family event.
Explore the Park After Dark
One of the highlights of Canyon Frights is experiencing Capilano Suspension Bridge in the evening.
Visitors can walk across the famous 450-foot suspension bridge, explore the elevated Treetops Adventure, and venture along the dramatic Cliffwalk, all surrounded by illuminated forests and festive Halloween decorations.
The combination of towering trees, canyon views and creative lighting creates a memorable setting that feels both magical and seasonal.
Family Halloween Activities
Throughout the event, families can enjoy Halloween-themed activities that may include games, interactive experiences and photo opportunities. Seasonal entertainment and special displays often change from year to year, giving returning visitors something new to discover each fall.
The focus remains on fun rather than fear, making Canyon Frights an excellent choice for younger children or anyone looking for a lighter Halloween experience.
