Visiting Brinkworth Dungeon in 2026
Brinkworth Dungeon is located at 22260 48th Avenue in Langley, just south of the Fraser Highway and a short drive from Langley Regional Airport. The haunted house is set up at the Brinkworth family’s home, combining the personal creativity of a residential Halloween display with the scale and detail of a professionally designed attraction.
The venue covers approximately 5,000 square feet, with winding corridors, themed rooms and intricate displays. Unlike many home-based Halloween attractions, Brinkworth Dungeon charges an admission fee to help cover the costs of creating and maintaining its elaborate sets (but it’s totally worth it).
Dates and Hours
In 2026 Brinkworth Dungeon opens for the season on Monday, October 19th. It runs daily until Sunday, November 15th.
The attraction offers two types of experiences:
Creepy Tours: Weekday visits run from approximately 7:00 to 10:00 pm. These tours focus on the elaborate displays and spooky settings without costumed actors jumping out at visitors, making them a more relaxed option for those who prefer less intense scares.
Trapped and Terrified: Friday and Saturday evenings are expected to feature a more immersive experience. These tours include several live actors dressed as well-known horror characters, adding an extra layer of suspense as visitors make their way through the attraction.
Admission and Tickets
Brinkworth Dungeon charges admission, unlike many residential Halloween displays that operate for free or accept donations. Ticket prices vary depending on the type of experience.
For the Creepy Tours from Sunday to Thursday, admission costs $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under enter for free.
The more intense Trapped and Terrified experience takes place on Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets cost $25 for adults and $15 for children ages 6 to 12.
VIP tickets are also available for pre-booked dates and times. They cost $30 for adults and $20 for children ages 6 to 12, with 18 VIP time slots available each evening. Reservations can be arranged by emailing brinkworthbarry@gmail.com.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Salvation Army’s Gateway of Hope.
A Handmade Haunted House with Movie-Inspired Scenes
One of the defining features of Brinkworth Dungeon is the amount of work that goes into its displays. Many of the figures, props and themed environments are custom-made rather than purchased as ready-made decorations.
Barry Brinkworth, a professional artist, has created detailed figures inspired by famous horror characters, including Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll, the Mummy, Chucky and Elvira. The carefully sculpted figures give the attraction a distinctive, museum-like quality, while the surrounding sets help bring each scene to life.
The Brinkworth Dungeon experience combines elements of a haunted dungeon, a horror movie set and a collection of eerie exhibits. Visitors pass through dimly lit hallways, narrow passageways and themed rooms, including an Egyptian-inspired underground-style tunnel. There is also a torture chamber and scenes based on well-known horror films. One section even briefly takes visitors outdoors into a grave-themed setting.
The attraction places a strong emphasis on atmosphere and craftsmanship. Although some props are commercially made, many of the most memorable displays are the result of the creators’ own artistic work.
Live Actors and Halloween Scares
Brinkworth Dungeon’s main attraction is its detailed scenery and handmade figures, but live performers are also part of the experience on selected evenings. During the more intense Trapped and Terrified tours, visitors can encounter a small cast of costumed actors portraying horror movie characters.
The performers are incorporated into the themed environments rather than being the sole focus of the attraction. Their presence adds suspense while allowing visitors to appreciate the elaborate sets and handcrafted creations. The weekday Creepy Tours are generally designed for guests who would rather explore the displays without live scare actors.
The overall Brinkworth Dungeon experience is immersive and often very dark, with twisting corridors and unexpected turns. Visitors who enjoy Halloween decorations, elaborate set design and classic horror themes can explore the attraction at their own pace, while those seeking a more intense visit can choose an evening with live performers.
Brinkworth Dungeon’s 25th Anniversary
The 2026 Halloween season is a milestone for Brinkworth Dungeon, celebrating 25 years of operation. The attraction has grown from a home-based Halloween project into a large-scale haunted experience created through years of artistic work and dedication by the Brinkworth family and their friends.
The attraction’s combination of handcrafted characters, themed environments and occasional live performances sets it apart from many other haunted houses in the Lower Mainland.
