Visiting Greendale Acres in Chilliwack
Greendale Acres is located at 41905 Old Yale Road in Chilliwack, approximately 90 kilometres from downtown Vancouver. The farm covers about 20 acres, with a large portion dedicated to seasonal events and family-friendly activities.
Previously known as the Chilliwack Corn Maze, Greendale Acres has expanded beyond its original attraction to become a year-round venue for special events and farm experiences. The property hosts activities during the spring, summer and fall, with its corn maze and pumpkin patch drawing visitors during the autumn months.
The farm is generally open from late summer through Halloween, with operating days varying throughout the season. September visits typically take place from Tuesday to Sunday, while October offers daily access.
Exploring the Chilliwack Corn Maze
The Chilliwack Corn Maze is a longstanding fall tradition in the Fraser Valley and has been welcoming visitors since 1999. Each season features a different maze design, giving returning guests a new route to explore and a fresh challenge to complete.
The maze is planted using corn primarily grown for cattle feed rather than human consumption. Once the season ends, the corn is harvested and chopped for livestock.
The maze usually opens in late summer, ahead of the pumpkin patch, which becomes available later in the fall. This allows visitors to enjoy the maze throughout much of the autumn season, with the pumpkin attractions adding to the experience as Halloween approaches.
Pumpkin Pyramid and Fall Activities
The pumpkin pyramid is one of Greendale Acres’ most recognizable fall features. The display brings together pumpkins in a large seasonal arrangement, creating a festive backdrop for visitors exploring the farm.
Pumpkin-themed displays and other fall decorations add to the farm’s autumn atmosphere. Families can combine a visit to the maze with time spent exploring the farm’s other attractions.
Family Activities at Greendale Acres
Greendale Acres offers much more than a corn maze and pumpkin patch. The farm has a variety of outdoor play spaces designed especially for children, along with activities that the whole family can enjoy.
Some of the main attractions include giant jumping pillows, pedal carts, a tire pyramid, swings, a giant sandbox, a corn box and an indoor hay bale maze. Younger visitors can also explore the mini tricycle area, while farm animals provide an opportunity to see animals up close.
Hayrides are available on select occasions, including trips to the farm fields. The Greendale Express, a small train that travels around the property, is another popular activity. Train admission is $5, with unlimited rides included in the ticket. During the Halloween season, the train becomes the Greendale Boo Express, featuring gentle spooky decorations and seasonal touches. The ride is designed to be suitable for children, without intense scares or jump scares.
Picnic areas and rentable firepits provide additional options for visitors who want to relax and spend more time at the farm. Select evenings also feature live music, free admission for grandparents, and visits from superheroes and princesses. In 2026 there’s also a costume parade and party on October 31st, plus a farewell to fall bonfire one day later.
