Halloween Experience at Hologram Zoo Vancouver
The Halloween Experience at Hologram Zoo Vancouver features spooky 3D creatures in its walk-through show in October. The attraction has other fun experiences too.
Hologram Zoo Vancouver is an indoor attraction near BC Place in downtown Vancouver. It features a number of different tour options, including the Halloween Hologram Experience which brings supernatural creatures and changing 3D environments into its family-friendly, museum-like space.
In the Halloween Experience, witches, werewolves and pirates are among the characters you’ll encounter on a visit.
The year-round attraction offers a Halloween outing for families with older children, with the venue recommending the regular show for ages 8 and up. There are other non-Halloween experiences too, however, which are suitable for children of all ages, plus a more mature version of the Halloween experience that’s recommended for audiences ages 17+.
TIP: If you use the promo code BESTPLACES15 when purchasing admission online between now and the end of 2026 you can save yourself 15% on admission when you buy your tickets online.

What to Expect at the Halloween Hologram Experience
The Halloween Hologram Experience combines holographic projections with a series of themed environments. Visitors walk through the experience as the scenes change, encountering creatures drawn from supernatural stories and mythology. You wear special glasses while on the tour.
The venue itself isn’t large. The experience, however, doesn’t feel small at all. You do a loop around the facility multiple times, and each lap introduces different scenes. This makes the same enclosed space feel slightly different each time as you move through it, with completely different things to see each time.
For us, the changing scenery was one of the more memorable parts of the show. You never know what to expect.
The mix of characters in the Halloween Hologram Experience gives the experience variety. As you make your way through the exhibits, you’ll meet witches, werewolves, pirates, spooky sounds and all kinds of supernatural encounters. There is plenty for adults to look at and enjoy as well as children.
Expect the full experience to take around 45 minutes. This includes an introductory video, a tour around the facility with a guide, a few times around on your own seeing different scenes, and then a session at the interactive photo booth at the end (where you can make your own souvenir photos and video).
Halloween Party and After Dark Sessions
In 2026 an all-ages Halloween party takes place at the venue on October 31st from noon until 5:00 pm. Face painting, balloon animals and a tasty treat are included with any experience tickets booked during those hours. Families can choose Dinosaurs, Asia or Underwater as an alternative to the Halloween show if they want.
Separate After Dark Halloween sessions for visitors ages 17 and up take place at 8:00 pm on October 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th and 30th. These evening sessions are promoted as a more intense Halloween experience. Check the official Halloween page for details before selecting your session.
How Scary Is the Halloween Show
We found the regular version of the Halloween Experience show playful enough for a family outing while still visually impressive. However, the official recommendation is ages 8 and up because of dark spaces, loud sounds and jump scares. Younger children can attend at their parent’s or guardian’s discretion.
Parents should consider how their child responds to sudden scares when choosing a show. The Hologram Zoo offers other experiences for families who prefer a different theme. When we went there were also Dinosaur, Asia and Underwater experiences, all of which were suitable for all ages.
Location and Getting There
Hologram Zoo Vancouver’s address is 50 Smithe Street in Yaletown. Not far from BC Place, it’s sort of between the stadium and Cooper’s Park by False Creek. The indoor setting makes it an option for a Halloween outing on days with any kind of weather.
Yaletown-Roundhouse and Stadium-Chinatown SkyTrain stations are within walking distance of the attraction, and several bus routes stop nearby.
How Much Does the Hologram Zoo Cost?
The Halloween Experience costs the same as regular admission to the attraction’s other experiences. When we went, online tickets were $35 for adults (ages 17+), $28 for children (ages 4–16) and $30 for seniors (ages 60+). Children aged 3 and under enter free. Admission costs more at the door (so purchase your tickets in advance to save a few dollars).
TIP: When buying your tickets online, use the promo code BESTPLACES15 and you’ll save15% on admission. (Note: This offer is valid until at least December 31st, 2026.)
