Halloween at the Greater Vancouver Zoo
The Greater Vancouver Zoo is located at 5048 264th Street in Aldergrove, in the Township of Langley. It’s roughly halfway between the City of Langley and downtown Abbotsford, making it accessible for families visiting from across the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver.
Boo at the Zoo runs from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on October 31st, 2026, with last entry at 5:00 pm.
Boo at the Zoo Activities
Boo at the Zoo offers several Halloween activities for families to enjoy while exploring the zoo. Visitors can pick up an activity passport near the entrance and take part in a spooky scavenger hunt around the grounds.
The zoo also has trick-or-treat activity stations and a special Ghosts of the Animal Kingdom display. The latter features tombstones to look out for during the visit. Most stations are free, although the face painting is by donation in support of Panthera.
Another highlight is the Halloween Costume Parade, which gives children a chance to show off their outfits. Two family-friendly parades are scheduled for 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. They start near the zoo’s main entrance.
For an additional Halloween-themed experience, visitors can hop aboard the Boo-mobile. This seasonal train ride features spooky guest passengers and is available for an extra fee.
Animal Spotlights happen at scheduled times each day. On October 31st, visitors can watch some of the zoo’s animals enjoy special pumpkin treats.
Discounted Halloween Admission
One of the highlights of Boo at the Zoo is the special admission offer for children and teens wearing costumes. On October 31st, 2026, visitors aged 3 to 17 who arrive in costume can enter the Greater Vancouver Zoo for just $10, plus applicable taxes. If a kid arrives without a costume, asking for a special Halloween sticker can also qualify them for the discounted price.
The offer is valid for Halloween only and cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions. Regular admission applies to older visitors.
